DUI Suspected In Crash That Kills Man On Desert Inn And Lindell Roads
DUI is the suspected cause of the death of a 68 year old man. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police the was killed Sunday when he was driving a 1992 Geo Metro through the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Lindell Road.
The man drove through the intersection with the green light according to police. At the same time the driver of a 2021 Toyota Rav 4 drove through a solid red light colliding with the man in the Geo Metro.
The man was taken to University Medical Center trauma center with significant injuries that he later died of at the hospital.
The driver of the Toyota, 27 year old Nakira Pray showed signs of impairment and was arrested. This is the 91st traffic related death in LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2024.
