Bicyclist Dies After Collision With A Vehicle After Tuesday Morning Collision On Decatur
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were called to the scene of a deadly accident involving one vehicle and a cyclist early Tuesday morning on South Decatur Blvd just south of Tropicana.
The accident happened early tuesday morning around 4 a.m. according to police. Evidence showed a Nissan sedan was heading south on Decatur towards the Tropicana intersection when a man riding a bike left a parking lot on Tropicana and enter Decatur, hitting the Nissan.
The bike rider entered the roadway hitting the vehicle, the Nissan came to a controlled stop.
First responders took the cyclist to a local hospital but he later passed away from his injuries. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment according to police.
This is the 19th traffic related fatality so far this year in the LVMPD jurisdiction.
