Accident near Bonanza and Mojave over the weekend results in critical injury
On Sunday morning, a 37-year-old was left in critical condition after a crash in the east valley, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. At around 5:41 a.m., the 37-year-old was driving a Hyundai at a high speed eastbound on Bonanza near Mojave roads. At the same time, a 25-year-old driving a Ford Dump Bed was slowly traveling east in the center two-way turn lane on E. Mojave Road to turn left into a private drive on the roadway’s north side. The driver of the Hyundai failed to stay in their lane and veered left, colliding with the right rear of the Ford. Medical personnel arrived and transported the 37-year-old to UMC Trauma for life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford reported no injuries. Police said impairment is suspected but remains unknown pending a toxicological analysis.
