50 year-old pedestrian struck and killed near Nellis and Flamingo
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police department a 50 year-old man was struck and killed Sunday night December the 3rd, near Nellis Blvd and Flamingo Rd. Officers arrived on scene around 9:20pm. The police concluded that a 2019 Mercedes Benz was traveling north on Nellis in the middle lane and struck the man as he crossed the street outside of a marked crosswalk. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Impairment does not seem to be the cause for either party. Two of the vehicles passengers were transported to Sunrise Hospital, their condition is unknown and police are still investigating.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
