21 year old man killed crossing street in Las Vegas
Police reported that a 21 year old man was killed by a passing vehicle as he stepped into the intersection crosswalk of S Nellis Blvd and Winterwood. He was walking with his father who was not injured. According to LV Metro the incident occurred at about 8pm Tuesday and involved a copper colored 2004 Pontiac Aztek which was traveling north on S Nellis at a high rate of speed. The vehicle attempted to swerve around the pedestrians and slid into a pole and cement barrier. The Pontiac driver stayed on scene and police noted he exhibited signs of intoxication and was subsequently arrested. The victim was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries.
