Michael was born and raised in Ely, Nevada, and attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and criminal justice in 2010. He furthered his studies by attending the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, obtaining his J.D. degree in 2013.
As a law student, Michael clerked at a Las Vegas criminal defense and immigration law firm, and worked as an attorney there once he obtained his admission to the Nevada Bar. He also interned for Judge Kenneth Cory, District Court Judge. He joined the Richard Harris Personal Injury Law Firm in 2014, where his focus in on personal injury law.
Michael enjoys spending time with his family in Northern Nevada when time allows, and enjoys Las Vegas entertainment, and sports. He also hikes on the weekends.
