Crash Near Nellis And Sahara In East Las Vegas Leaves Pedestrian Dead, Sunday
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported a deadly crash on South Nellis Blvd. south of East Sahara Avenue around 5:50 p.m. Sunday.
According to police a man was walking outside the marked or implied crosswalk when he was struck by a car.
The man believed to be between 40 to 50 years old was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche that was traveling south.
First responders transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, according to police.
This is the 146th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2025. The crash is currently under investigation.
Walking in Las vegas is dangerous with the amount of people walking around. Always walk within the marked crosswalk and follow the traffic signals to avoid an accident.
