Hit-N-Run Leaves Nevada State Trooper Injured on I-15
Russell Road and the I-15 was the scene of a hit-n-run that left a Nevada State Trooper injured and sent to the hospital late Tuesday night.
The crash happened at 11:40 p.m near Russell Road. According to the investigation a driver ignored traffic control that was in place for an earlier accident that was under investigation near a construction zone.
The driver hit a patrol vehicle and then fled the scene, according to state police.
The trooper inside the vehicle that was hit was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The trooper was later released and returned to duty.
The driver was eventually located and arrested for driving under the influence according to police. This accident caused lanes of the I-15 to be closed for several hours.
