Crash On Charleston Blvd. Leaves A Motorcyclist Dead, Near Local College
A collision near the College of Southern Nevada on Tuesday night left one dead and Charleston Blvd. closed for some time while the crash was investigated.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police the crash was reported around 10 p.m. A motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Charleston Blvd. and struck a Ford Pickup truck that was going westbound as the truck was attempting to make a left turn.
The motorcyclist tried to brake and overturned, sliding eastbound. The rider of the Honda motorcycle struck the right side of the Ford truck.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Impairment is not suspected in this accident.
This is the 85th traffic related death in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Jurisdiction so far this year.
