Washoe Sheriff’s Vehicle Overturned In Sparks Crash
Nevada State Police are investigating a rollover crash that took place Wednesday night, June 4th.
The accident happened at 8:41 p.m. at Pyramid Highway and involved a sheriff’s office vehicle and a Chevy Traverse.
According to the investigation a marked sheriff’s vehicle was traveling south on Pyramid Highway and entered the intersection while the southbound light was red. At the same time a Chevy Traverse was heading west through the intersection on the green light when the vehicles collided.
The sheriff’s vehicle rolled over and ended up in Eagle Canyon, while the SUV remained in the intersection.
Both driver’s were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, where they were treated and later released.
The deputy involved in the crash did not have emergency lights or sirens activated at the time of the crash.
