Fatal Crash Closes Cheyenne Overpass On I-15, Sunday
Nevada State Police Highway Patrol were called to a fatal crash that happened at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on the Cheyenne Road overpass at the I-15.
The crash involved two sedans with one of the drivers, a female sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
The other driver, also female, was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
This crash caused a major road closure and traffic backup with the Cheyenne Road overpass at the I-15 being closed in both directions for several hours. The closure started at Losee Road between Civic Center Road. The roads reopened around 5:45 p.m.
The identities of the victims and the cause of the crash are unknown at this time. Police are investigating the crash.
