Pedestrian Dead After Hit And Run In North Las Vegas
North Las Vegas Police were called to the scene of a hit-and-run crash early Monday morning, leaving one dead.
Police responded around 4:30 a.m. to Las Vegas Blvd and Williams Avenue. At the scene police located a 48 year-old male pedestrian in the roadway with critical injuries. First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
According to the investigation by NLVPD Major Collision Investigation Unit a black Lexus was heading northbound on Las Vegas Blvd at a high rate of speed, approaching Williams Avenue when they hit the pedestrian who walking in the marked crosswalk at the intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Williams Avenue.
The driver of the black Lexus fled the scene. Police believe the suspect vehicle is a black 2007-2009 Lexus LS 460 and would have significant front end damage.
