Motorcycle And Vehicle Crash Leaves One Dead In Northwest Valley
Las Vegas Metro responded to a crash at Rainbow Blvd. and Sterling Springs Parkway early Wednesday evening.
According to police the crash occurred at around 5:45 p.m. involving a motorcycle and vehicle in the northwest valley.
According to an earlier press briefing both the driver of the motorcycle and the passenger were thrown from the bike after colliding with another vehicle.
First responders pronounced the driver of the motorcycle dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of one vehicle remained at the scene and impairment was not a factor. This driver had minor injuries but did not seek treatment for minor injuries. A third vehicle involved in the crash was the one that the motorcycle riders were ejected to. The driver of that vehicle also remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The investigation into this crash is still ongoing. Police are saying speeding by the motorcycle rider was the cause of the accident. Police remind us to watch our speed when riding or driving.
