Wrong Way Driver Leaves One Dead In Crash On I-15 Just North Las Vegas
Nevada State Police responded to an accident at mile marker 79 on I-15, about 25 miles north of Las Vegas Motor Speedway early Monday morning. The accident happened about halfway between Las Vegas and Moapa just after 1:40 a.m.
According to police a minivan was driving northbound in the southbound lanes, at the same time a semi truck was traveling in the southbound lane. The two vehicles collided and burst into flames. The driver of the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi truck driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation and it is not clear if impairment played a role in the crash.
