Wrong-Way Crash Leaves Three Dead In Reno Friday
The Reno Police department reported that three people were killed in a wrong way crash Friday night on McCarran Boulevard. The accident happened around 11:15 p.m. on South McCarran between Sierra Madre Drive and Rio Poco Road.
According to a preliminary investigation a woman driving an SUV was driving the wrong way on McCarran Blvd when she crashed into a passenger vehicle head-on that was driving the opposite way.
Both an adult male and female who were in the passenger vehicle were killed in the crash. The female driver of the SUV going the wrong way also died, according to police. Although the accident is still under investigation investigators believe this accident to be alcohol related. The victims identities have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
