Three Car Crash In The East Valley Leaves 7 Injured Including One Toddler
Las Vegas Metro Police were called to the scene of a three-car crash in the east valley Monday night. The crash happened at East Lake Mead Blvd just west of Toiyabe Street at around 5:15 p.m.
Initial reports suggest that a Toyota Camry was traveling west on Lake Mead Blvd. at high speeds, while weaving between traffic. At the same time, a Lexus ES330 was trying to make a left turn, west of Toiyabe. At the same time a Dodge Challenger was heading east approaching Toiyabe.
The crash occurred when the Toyota swerved across two lanes of traffic into the center turn lane, The Toyota than struck the Lexus. The Toyota was turned around into the eastbound lane and than hit the Dodge.
The drivers and passengers in all the vehicles suffered injuries, some serious. All were taken to UMC Trauma Center. The injured included a 3 year-old boy who was a passenger in the Toyota.
The driver of the Toyota showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI with substantial bodily harm among other charges.
Police are investigating this crash.
