Teen pedestrian killed in Las Vegas
Las Vegas Metro reported a pedestrian fatality of a 17 year-old teenager on Tuesday that occurred around 5:45pm on East Owens Avenue. According to police a Ford pickup truck was heading eastbound on Owens Ave just east of N Nellis Blvd and struck the teen in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk. The teen was pronounced dead on scene and police continue to investigate.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
