Pedestrian struck and left for dead in Reno


The Reno Police Department has reported that a vehicle struck and seriously injured a pedestrian on Sunday morning November 13th on Stead Blvd in Reno. The victim known only as a local 70 year old man was hit by an unknown vehicle which quickly fled the scene and did not stop to check on the man crossing the street at around 3:30am near Lear Blvd. Police said only that the vehicle was a “darked out” pickup or SUV and are still searching for it. The victim was rushed to hospital and his current condition is not known.

Help in a Crisis

Following a traumatic event, people often feel helpless, confused, and experience emotional shock. They are confronted with a situation for which they are totally unprepared.

Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
