Pedestrian killed near Las Vegas Blvd
One man died in a crash in the south part of the valley, according to Las Vegas police. The incident occurred at E. Richmar Avenue and S. Las Vegas Boulevard on Friday at 5:57 p.m. Investigators reported that a 32-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when he walked into the path of a 2021 Ford Expedition. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ford driver remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Fatal Detail. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. It is unknown if the pedestrian was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
