Pedestrian killed early this morning on Sahara Ave in Las Vegas, NV
On Tuesday morning at 4:04 a.m., a tragic incident occurred on East Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas. Las Vegas Metro police responded to reports of a fatal collision involving a pedestrian, and upon arriving at the scene, the pedestrian was immediately transported to a hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators had been dispatched to the scene to investigate the incident, and Sahara Avenue had been closed from Market to State Street while the investigation is ongoing.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
