Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-11 Leaves Commuters At A Standstill
A multi-vehicle,chain reaction crash left commuters at a standstill when multiple lanes of the I-11 near downtown Las Vegas backed up traffic toward the Spaghetti Bowl interchange on Wednesday.
The accident occured along I-11 near Las Vegas Blvd and Charleston Boulevard. According to Nevada State Police Highway Patrol traffic slowed down quickly as it approached the downtown area and several vehicles behind were unable to stop.
First responders arrived to check the occupants of the vehicles, with one driver reportedly injured enough to require a trip to a local hospital.
The traffic was moved to the shoulder causing traffic to slow to a crawl while the crash was cleaned up and investigated.
