Motorcyclist in critical condition following crash near Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas
On Friday afternoon, a motorcyclist was left in ”critical condition” after a hit-and-run near downtown Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred at the intersection of East Charleston Boulevard and North 27th Street at 4:25 p.m. Evidence and witness statements showed that a 2003 Harley-Davidson was travelling eastbound on E. Charleston Boulevard in the left lane. At the same time, a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica was exiting a private drive on the south curb of East Charleston Boulevard and failed to yield the right of way. The Chrysler crossed the Harley-Davidson’s path and was struck on the left side. The Chrysler then fled northbound on 27th Street, but was later located and booked for hit-and-run charges. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to UMC Trauma by ambulance, where he remains in critical condition.
