Man On Moped Killed After Crash On Mesa Verde Lane, Haven Street
An accident that happened Thursday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. at East Mesa Verde Lane and South Haven Street leaves one man dead.
According to the Las Vegas Police a 45 year-old man was riding a moped was traveling on Mesa Verde Lane. The moped rider continued through the intersection at Haven Street and failed to stop as required at the intersection.
When passing through the intersection without stopping the moped came into the path of a Dodge Ram Truck. The rider of the moped was struck by the truck.
The 45 year-old moped rider was taken to University Medical Center and later died from his injuries. The rider has not been identified at this time.
This is the 127th traffic related death in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction so far this year.
