LVMPD patrol vehicle strikes pedestrian in Las Vegas
On Wednesday night at 11:26 p.m., a marked Las Vegas Metro police vehicle collided with a pedestrian near MGM Grand and New York, New York Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard and MGM Road. The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries to the head and upper body, and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the accident to determine who had the right-of-way from the traffic signals.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
