Hit-N-Run Near Lake Mead And Torrey Pines, Leaves Pedestrian Critically Injured Tuesday Night
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian critically injured Tuesday night. The accident took place at the intersection of West Lake Mead Boulevard and North Torrey Pines Drive at around 9:30 p.m.
The driver fled the scene after they struck the pedestrian who was crossing at the intersection in the marked crosswalk with the walk signal. The vehicle, a 2021 White GMC Sierra pick up failed to yield to the pedestrian who had the right of way, knocking her to the ground and then fled.
First responders began life saving measures and then transported her to the hospital where the injuries were determined to be life threatening.
The GMC and the driver were later located by police. The driver was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. This is an ongoing investigation.
