Hit-N-Run Crash Leaves Child With Life Threatening Injuries In Reno
A child who was chasing a ball in the street Monday night is facing life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Reno. The crash happened at around 8:33 p.m. at the intersection of 9th Street and Dolomite Circle.
The child who has not been identified is 5-years-old and was chasing after a ball that went into the street. Reno police, firefighters, and REMSA personnel responded and rushed the small child to the hospital with severe life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to help the child. Police do not have a description of the vehicle at this time but they believe that there were multiple witnesses to the accident who may have left the scene before police arrived.
Police are asking anyone who has information about the driver, vehicle or witnessed the accident to come forward. If you have information about this case contact the Reno Police Departments Major Accident Investigation Team.
