Female pedestrian killed on Summerlin Parkway in Las Vegas
Nevada State Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Summerlin Parkway West at Anasazi on Friday morning. The accident involved a car and a female pedestrian, who was tragically struck and killed. The crash was reported to police at 11:05 p.m. on Thursday night. As a result of the incident, all westbound lanes on Summerlin Parkway at Anasazi are currently closed. State troopers are conducting an investigation into the accident and road closures will remain in place until the investigation is complete.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
