DUI Suspected In Death Of Pedestrian In Crash Sunday On The I-15
Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a pick-up truck on the Northbound I-15 just south of Flamingo Road.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital after the crash with critical injuries,police later confirmed that the pedestrian had died at the hospital.
Police arrested the driver of the pick-up truck, a 29 year-old man on several charges including suspected DUI, reckless driving resulting in death,failing to yield to a pedestrian, and other charges related to the accident.
The northbound lanes of the I-15 were shut down for several hours from Russell Road while police investigated and cleared the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
