Accident with patrol vehicles results in injuries to two police officers
On Friday afternoon, two Las Vegas police officers and another driver were injured in a crash. The incident occurred at 3:44 p.m. at W. Cheyenne Avenue and the 215, according to Las Vegas police. Investigators reported that the officers were traveling westbound on Cheyenne over the 215 when a vehicle traveling eastbound on Cheyenne made a left turn in front of them. The patrol vehicle collided with the turning vehicle, causing it to roll over.
Both officers inside the patrol vehicle sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured, but none of the injuries are expected to be life-threatening. The crash is currently under investigation by Las Vegas police.
