One Dead After Three Car Crash In Reno, Saturday Night
Reno Police were called to the scene of an accident Saturday night on a stretch of South Virginia Road in Reno. The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. causing road closures.
The accident involved three vehicles and left one person dead according to police. All vehicles were occupied by a single person.
Police responded to the accident at the intersection of South Virginia Street and Kietzke Lane and determined that speed and disregarding traffic laws played a role in the accident. Reno police are still investigating the crash to determine if impairment played a role in the crash.
South Virginia Street was closed in both directions from South McCarran Blvd. to Kietzke Lane as well as the I-580 ramp for South Virginia Street while police investigated the crash. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
