Motorcycle Rider Died In Crash On Nelis Blvd and Goodin Way
A 23 year-old died Friday as a result of injuries sustained in a crash that happened on N. Nelis Boulevard and Goodin Way involving a motorcycle and vehicle.
According to police, the accident happened at around 4:58 p.m.
Evidence at the scene, witness statements, and crash video shows that a 2012 Ford Flex was heading north on N. Nelis Boulevard, at the same time a 2012 Yamaha R6 motorcycle was traveling south at a high rate of speed. The Ford Flex made a U-turn into the speeding motorcycle’s path. The motorcycle than hit the back of the Ford and was thrown from the motorcycle. The 23 year-old motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford did not show any signs of impairment at the time. This is the 108th traffic related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction this year.
