Drunk driver strikes several pedestrians in North Las Vegas
Four people were hospitalized following a suspected DUI crash in North Las Vegas on Monday night. The driver of a silver Nissan Versa had struck four pedestrians in the area of Lake Mead Blvd. and Englestad Street just after 9 p.m., according to NLVPD. The vehicle had an adult female driver and two children as passengers. The driver had displayed signs of impairment and was taken into custody by responding law enforcement. She now faces charges for DUI and child endangerment related to the crash.
The crash occurred during a large gathering outside a business in the 600 block of West Lake Mead Blvd, which had grown in size and spilled over into the roadway from the parking lot, police reported. All four individuals who were hit were transported to UMC with injuries that were not life-threatening.
