A man in Laughlin was hospitalized after an accident near Commerce Street
On Monday morning, a Laughlin man was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at 1:23 a.m. on Charleston Boulevard, west of Commerce Street. Evidence at the scene and witness statements suggest a 2005 Honda Accord was travelling westbound on Charleston and approaching the Commerce intersection when the 42-year-old pedestrian was hit while crossing outside of a marked crosswalk. He was rushed to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The 32-year-old driver of the Accord remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
