Three pedestrians injured by vehicle that fled the scene in Las Vegas
On Tuesday morning, a hit-and-run accident occurred on the Las Vegas Strip near Las Vegas Boulevard and Owens Avenue. According to Las Vegas Metro Police, dispatchers received initial reports of the collision at 11:48 a.m. Three pedestrians were injured in the incident and were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The vehicle involved in the accident did not remain on the scene. As a result, southbound traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard was redirected at Owens Avenue while the investigation was ongoing. This accident follows a similar incident earlier in the day when a pedestrian was killed near Caesar`s Palace.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
