Teenaged bicyclist killed after accident with vehicle in Las Vegas
Police reported that a 15-year-old boy tragically died after being struck by a car in the east valley on Friday night. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that the collision occurred on South Hollywood Boulevard, south of East Marlon Brando Avenue, at around 9:45 p.m. Evidence indicated that a 2013 Nissan Altima had been traveling north on Hollywood Boulevard while a bicyclist was going south. The bicyclist entered the Nissan’s path of travel, resulting in the front of the Nissan striking him. Medical personnel transported the bicyclist to Sunrise Pediatric Hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene with minor injuries and was also taken to Sunrise Hospital. The incident is still being investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
