Police Searching For Vehicle In Connection In Woman’s Death
Police are seeking help from the public with any information in locating a driver in connection with the death of a woman on Tuesday.
Police received a call that a woman was injured and found on Polaris Avenue just north of Highland Drive.
Police found evidence through video surveillance that showed a 2013 Ford Fusion traveling south on Polaris Avenue heading toward S. Highland Drive.
The Ford Fusion appeared to pull over to the curb and stopped, the front passenger door was than opened, and a 38 year-old woman , who was not been identified appeared to fall out of the vehicle onto the roadway.
Another motorist spotted the woman and called police. The woman was taken to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center with critical injuries and later died from those injuries.
According to the investigation by the Clark County Coroner’s Office the injuries that resulted in her death were consistent with being struck by an unknown vehicle.
Police continue to investigate this incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the LVMPD’s Collision Investigative Unit.
