One Dead After Stolen Motorcycle Crash At Alta And Buffalo
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded early Saturday morning to a crash involving a stolen motorcycle and a Chevy Van.
The driver of the motorcycle, a stolen Kawasaki was thrown from the bike after after colliding with the Chevy Van at the intersection of Alta and Buffalo.
According to police the motorcycle driver failed to stop at a red light while the Chevy Van attempted to make the left hand turn at the light.
The accident took place early Saturday morning around 7:30 am and closed off traffic to the area for several hours as police investigated the crash.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van stayed at the scene with no signs of impairment noted.
Police continue to investigate the accident. This marks the 76th death this year from traffic related injuries in the Las Vegas area.
