Motorcyclist Left With Life Threatening Injuries After Crash In Southwest Vegas
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police was called to the scene of an accident at Rainbow Blvd and Flamingo Road Monday night at approximately 8:45 p.m.
According to police a 36 year old woman who was driving a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by a car at the intersection. A 31 year-old man driving a Subaru who has stopped at the red light at the intersection, than apparently attempted to make a left turn while the light was still red.
The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Rainbow heading toward the intersection of Rainbow and Flamingo when the motorcyclist came into the path of the Subaru making the illegal left turn at the red light.
The female motorcyclist was taken to UMC Trauma where she remains in critical condition.
The driver of the Subaru was arrested on DUI related charges after showing signs of being impaired. Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
