Car strikes bicyclist on Hollywood Blvd in Las Vegas


On Tuesday evening, a motorized bicycle accident occurred in Henderson, resulting in the cyclist being hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. According to Las Vegas Metro Police, the cyclist was travelling west on Hollywood Boulevard when they veered into the center turn lane, causing the bike to overturn and eject the rider. The cyclist was taken to Sunrise Hospital where trauma staff determined the severity of the injuries. The investigation into the accident is ongoing by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.

Help in a Crisis

Following a traumatic event, people often feel helpless, confused, and experience emotional shock. They are confronted with a situation for which they are totally unprepared.

Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
