Reno, NV (July 6, 2020) – Authorities have now released the identity of the man who was killed in motorcycle crash with another vehicle on Friday, July 3rd. According to the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim has been identified as 40-year-old Cody McDowell, of Sparks.

Officers with the Reno Police Department said that McDowell was operating a Triumph motorcycle when he collided with a GMC Yukon at the intersection of North Virginia Street and McCarren Boulevard. Emergency crews responded to the crash and pronounced McDowell deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Yukon remained at the crash site and was reported to have cooperated with authorities. The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation.
