Las Vegas, NV (August 23, 2020) – On Friday, August 21, at the intersection of I-215 and Tropicana Avenue, a three-car crash took place that took one life.

The accident occurred when a woman driving a blue Mazda collided with a Ford F-250 truck head-on. The force of the collision caused the truck to crash into a concrete barrier on the side of the road and the Mazda to spin out. While spinning out, the Mazda was struck in the driver’s side by a Hyundai headed south.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced the female driver of the Mazda deceased at the scene of the wreck. The reason she was traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes of I-215  is under investigation at this time.

Three passengers present in the Hyundai at the time of the accident and one occupant of the Ford pickup were transported to University Medical Center for the treatment of serious injuries. None of them have been identified at this time, and their current health conditions remain undisclosed.

An investigation into the circumstances of the wreck will be carried out by local police.

No further information is available at this time.
