Early Monday Morning Crash In Sparks Leaves One Dead
Early morning Monday January 27th Nevada Highway Patrol responded to an accident at a major intersection in Sparks.
The incident happened at around 5 am. Monday morning just before the busy commute hours at the intersection of Pyramid Highway and McCarran Blvd.
According to witnesses Nissan Truck was heading westbound on McCarran Blvd. and failed to stop at a red light than hitting a Jeep that was traveling southbound on Pyramid Highway.
First Responders pronounced the driver of the Jeep dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Nevada Highway Patrol is looking for other witnesses to the accident. The intersection was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene.
