Rollover Crash Involving Two Vehicles Leaves 3 Hospitalized, Monday
A two vehicle rollover crash left three people hospitalized Monday afternoon. The accident happened in the southeast valley on southbound interstate 11/U.S 95 just north of Russell Road at around 12:53 p.m.
According to the Nevada highway patrol a Mercedes Benz SUV and a Kia sedan were involved in the crash. The Medcedes was overturned onto its roof during the crash.
The driver of the Mercedes and two people that were in the Kia were taken to local hospitals with injuries. The cause of the crash has not been released and is still under investigation. This caused a traffic backup in the area while police investigated and cleaned up the crash scene.
Rollover accidents can cause severe injuries and are usually caused by changing lanes at a high rate of speed. They tend to happen on high speed roadways like freeways and interstates. Always make sure you check all lanes before making lane changes on the freeway or interstate.
