Police Are Investigating A Pedestrian Crash Near Topaz And Flamingo That Left One With Critical Injuries
Police are investigating an accident between a vehicle and pedestrian that left one with life threatening injuries Saturday night. The accident happened around 9:14 p.m. on East Flamingo Road just east of South Topaz Street.
According to police the pedestrian was crossing East Flamingo from the south to the north outside of the marked crosswalk when he was caught in the path of a westbound 2013 Lexus ES350.
The driver of the Lexas hit the pedestrian with the front of the vehicle and the pedestrian was thrown to the westbound travel lanes after the crash.
The driver of the Lexus, a 72 year-old man stopped and called 911. The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Trauma Center with critical injuries and admitted to the ICU for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. . The crash is still under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
