One Dead, One In Critical Condition After Crash In Sparks
According to the Sparks Police Department, One person has died and one is in critical condition after a crash early Sunday morning.
Police were called to Spice Island Drive and Spice Island Court an industrial area in Sparks around 2:30 a.m. for a crash.
According to police speed and impairment are considered to be a factor in the crash. Police believe the driver was speeding and failed to make a curve in the road. The driver than hit a parked Semi Truck and came back to end up in the road. Both the driver and the passenger were trapped in the vehicle as first responders arrived.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was transported to a local hospital to be treated for critical injuries. The identities of the victims are being withheld at this time and police continue to investigate the accident.
