b'10 PROJECT BACKPACKEvery year, thousands of children go without backpacks and the essential supplies they need to succeed in school.Wanting to make a difference in Nevada, four years ago, Richard Harris set out on a mission to get backpacks and school supplies into the hands of the neediest students. Through the generous support of local volunteers, attorneys and staff of Richard Harris Law Firm, Project Backpack 2024 helped launch a strong start to the school year. In late July, 13,000 backpacks full of supplies were donated to kindergartners at more than 100 schools in Reno and Las Vegas. In addition, the firm also held open pick-up events at its offices in Las Vegas and Reno. The in-person backpack pick-up events allowed students not attending the selected schools for 2024 to receive a backpack full of school supplies prior to the start of their school year.Helping everyone in the community has always been a focus of the Richard Harris Law Firm, and we continue to be happy to help everyone we can, said Josh Harris, Managing Partner of the Richard Harris Law Firm. We must thank Mike Goodwin of Schnitzer Properties for donating the warehouse to us. With their help, we were able to store and assemble the backpacks, and ultimately get them directly into the hands of the kids who need them. The children of Nevada deserve better. With the help of my incredible team, I am excited to continue our Project Backpack initiative. My goal is for every child in need to receive a backpack, 55,000and we look forward to the lasting impact this initiative will have on the kids and families of our communities.~ Richard Harrisbackpacks donatedWe need to do more for the kids in 660,000our community.
