California Auto Accidents
California is the most populated state in the United States, which means that it also has one of the highest car accident rates in the nation. On average, California sees close to 500,000 auto accidents take place per year. These California auto accidents injure over 275,000 people and take the lives of over 3,000 each and every year.
Unfortunately, most of these auto accidents are caused by preventable and negligent human behaviors like intoxication and speeding. According to a recent traffic study, approximately 94% of all auto accidents in the United States are caused by correctable yet negligent human behavior. The leading cause for auto accidents in California, currently, is distracted driving. Nearly 75% of all California drivers have admitted to using their cellphone while driving.
