San Diego, CA (August 21, 2020) – This past Wednesday night, a multi-car crash caused injuries on a freeway in San Diego.
The accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on the night of August 19 when a motorcycle and another unspecified vehicle were involved in a collision on Interstate 8. A third vehicle, a Mazda CX5, became involved when it attempted to swerve and avoid the crash but was unable to do so.
It was reported that one person sustained injuries in the wreck and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Their injuries were reportedly moderate in nature.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the accident, and no one involved has been identified at this time.
California Highway Patrol shut down the area of the interstate where the crash took place in order to safely assess the accident. Paramedics also needed room to assist the injured victim while fire crews cleared the crash debris from the roadway.
No further information has been released at this time.
An investigation into the details of the wreck will be carried out by local police.
