Car Accidents in Sacramento
According to an anonymous driver poll that was conducted in 2011, the percentage of California residents that regularly used their seat belt, whether as a driver or as a passenger, was close to 97%.
Although this figure is already quite high, it does mark an improvement of slightly more than 1% from the previous year and reflects the steady upward trend of seat belt use that the state has been observing for the past few years.
Based on calculations that are provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, regular seat belt use among this high percentage of people is estimated to have saved the lives of roughly 1,250 people who were involved in car accidents in California in that same year.
