California Traffic Collisions
Car accidents are unfortunately not an uncommon occurrence in California. Nearly 500,000 car accidents occur in the Golden State each and every year, injuring more than 275,000 people and taking the lives of over 3,000. This means that thousands of California traffic accidents take place every single day, causing injury and, in worst-case scenarios, death to those involved. Sadly, California’s accident rate is one of the highest in the nation. This could be partially due to the fact that California is one of the most populated states in the United States, which ultimately means that the accident rates will be significantly higher than in other places.
Auto accidents can take place for a number of different reasons. Unfortunately, the most common reasons include negligent and careless human behaviors like speeding, intoxication, and distraction. Currently, the leading cause of car accidents in California to take place is driver distraction.
Many questions often arise after you or a loved one are involved and injured in a catastrophic traffic accident. In most cases, injured accident victims are faced with debilitating pain that has a negative impact on their emotional and physical well-being. This pain can be exacerbated when their injuries were caused by another person’s negligence.
